Decadent Drinking Chocolate
This thick, creamy high protein Drinking Chocolate tastes decadent and rich – without weighing you down with fat and sugar. This treat is not sweet – but you can always add some regular or coconut whipped cream (my favorite) or even mini marshmallows up top to give it a sweet kick. Grab the recipe and try it for yourself!
Ingredients:
- 1 cup unsweetened cashew milk (creamiest) or unsweetened almond milk
- ¼ cup fat-free cottage cheese
- 1 scoop chocolate protein powder
- 1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1–2 tsp Truvia brown sugar (to taste)
- 1–2 tsp monk fruit sweetener (to taste)
- ¼ tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch sea salt
- Dash of cinnamon or nutmeg
Instructions:
Gently heat the cashew or almond milk in a small saucepan until warm (do not boil). Add the warm milk and all remaining ingredients to a blender. Blend for 30–45 seconds until completely smooth—no cottage cheese texture should remain. Pour back into the saucepan and warm over low heat, stirring constantly. Serve immediately. Makes 1 serving.
Optional: top with whipped cream, coconut whipped cream or mini marshmallows
